This case reveal shows the brand vision in combination with graphic elements and the final product

PekoPeko was designed to stand out in Malmö city’s thriving lunch restaurant scene, taking cues from the beloved Swedish tradition of home-made meal boxes, known as “matlåda.”
The brief, being part of my examination project at university, called for a brand identity for a Japanese take-away restaurant. I wanted to create something unique and with a sustainable core, in order to stand out in the jungle of city lunch alternatives in Malmö.

The graphic elements for PekoPeko's visual identity
The color red, essential to Japanese culture, was paired with a modern Scandinavian light blue and a warm white to create a fresh identity targeting customers aged 20 to mid-40s.

The deliverables

The package design in collaboration with re:eat lunch boxes.

The brand was tailored to appeal to costumers that usually bring homemade food to work or to school, as this is an essential habit in swedish culture. My sustainable solution was therefore to center the brand identity around take-away lunch boxes paired with discounted meal options.
The menue display with additional take-away product and marketing flyer.
I especially enjoyed crafting the tone of voice in the copywriting as it was ment to be a fun take on everyones every day struggles. My goal here was to create a casual language that offers
a solution with a twinkle in the eye.
Copy writing à la "Been there, done that".
A colorful and inspiring social media display with room for recipe sharing, daily menu updates and own brand advertisement.
